Owner guide
The practical FAQ for shop owners.
Practical answers for shop owners: what TillTelltale reads, where saved results live, and what a check does not do.
The short version
TillTelltale reads configured pages and keeps each recorded result visible to the owner. It does not buy anything or promise what happens next.
TillTelltale frequently asked questions
What does TillTelltale check for my shop?
TillTelltale checks the configured storefront, product, other-link, and checkout URLs. Each check records the observed outcome together with its check context, such as the configured target and when it was checked, giving you a practical signal about the shopping journey rather than only a simple uptime result. Keep the configured URL list current: checks are limited to those targets and recorded checks, not pages or situations outside them.
What happens during a checkout check?
A checkout check only reads the configured checkout page. It never enters payment details, authorizes a payment, submits an order, or places a test order. It is a page-read check, not a purchase simulation.
Where do owners review saved outcomes, history, issues, and reports?
In the private owner area, owners review saved check outcomes and history, including unavailable results. When a check needs follow-up, the related issue or fix status, report status, and recorded evidence stay tied to that check. Owners can start rechecks from the owner area and review the newer recorded outcome; the in-app records remain the source of truth for what was checked and when.
How do failure alerts and reports work?
Failure alerts and reports sent by email are conditional on the shop's email-sending setup being configured and available. If that setup is unavailable, email delivery is not active and must not be assumed. In-app check history and the status of each issue or report remain the source of truth; email is an additional notification path, not a replacement for those records.
Is email alerting active by default?
No. Installing or using TillTelltale does not by itself make email alerts or reports active. Email availability depends on the shop's email-sending setup being configured and available. Until then, rely on in-app check history and issue or report status.
Does TillTelltale guarantee sales, revenue, or conversions?
No. TillTelltale is a visibility and checking aid: it helps an owner notice what configured pages returned and organize follow-up. It does not guarantee sales, revenue, conversions, or that fixing an issue will produce a particular business result.
Does TillTelltale promise uninterrupted detection or complete coverage?
No. Checks are limited to the configured URLs and recorded check times. TillTelltale does not promise uninterrupted detection or complete issue coverage across every storefront, product, link, checkout, browser, payment, or customer situation.
How do I start checking a shop?
Create an owner account, configure the public storefront, product, other-link, and checkout URLs you want to read, then review the saved outcomes and check history in the private owner area. Keep the configured list current so the checks reflect the parts of the shopping journey you care about.
